GEO
(AI Search Visibility)
GEO isn’t something you “do”. It’s what happens when your communications are built on three pillars:
Clarity x Consistency x Consensus = GEO
We help you understand how you show up in AI answers today, and build a practical plan to improve how often you show up in future.
Why GEO matters in B2B
B2B buyers are using LLMs to compress research and validate decisions. If you don’t show up — or you show up inaccurately — you’re either invisible or misrepresented at the moment a buyer is trying to decide.
Our Model for B2B GEO
Clarity × Consistency × Consensus
Clarity
Be explicit about what you are, what you do, and the questions you can answer. Get the technical foundations right and make authoritative information easy to access. When clear, current information is missing, AI systems may rely on weaker, older or conflicting sources.
Consistency
Reinforce the subjects and ideas you want to own through useful, consistent content. Build clear subject ownership around the people with genuine expertise, rather than relying on anonymous corporate output.
Consensus
Build a credible external evidence base around the things you want to be known for. Trade media, analysts, customers, partners and other relevant third parties can provide context and corroboration beyond what you say about yourself. So what’s the service?
AI Visibility Audit
A structured assessment of where your brand wins, loses or is misrepresented across the AI-assisted buyer journey, and what to prioritise as a result.
We map the questions your buyers are likely to ask across:
Discovery → Evaluation → Due diligence
Then we assess:
- How often and how accurately you appear
- How you compare with an agreed set of competitors
- Where you are mentioned, recommended or cited
- What sources and evidence are shaping the answers
- What the models currently associate you with
- Where misinformation, ambiguity or evidence gaps exist
- What needs to change across Clarity, Consistency and Consensus
Output: An evidence-led audit showing where you stand, what appears to be shaping the results, and a prioritised roadmap for improving your AI visibility.
Implementation support
The Audit tells you what to prioritise. What happens next depends on what it finds.
That might mean:
Clarity: positioning, messaging, website or technical recommendations
Consistency: new content, executive thought leadership or a stronger publishing strategy
Consensus: PR, analyst relations and other third-party validation
Some clients take the roadmap and run with it themselves. Others ask us to help deliver the work.
We scope that separately around the priorities identified in the Audit — rather than selling you a predetermined “GEO package”.
We don’t sell generic “GEO packages”. We start by understanding where you show up today, where you don’t, and what appears to be shaping the answers your buyers see.
What success looks like
GEO doesn’t come with one clean rank. Depending on your objectives, we track:
Whether you appear in the buyer questions that matter
Whether you are described accurately
Whether you are mentioned, recommended or cited
How your visibility compares with priority competitors
Whether important misconceptions or evidence gaps improve over time
-
No. SEO optimises for retrieval (being returned as a result). GEO optimises for synthesis (being included and described in an answer). They overlap, but they reward different behaviours and produce different outcomes. Think siblings, not twins.
-
Most use a retrieval approach (often described as Retrieval Augmented Generation) where they pull sources from the web and generate an answer from what they retrieve plus what they “know”. If high-quality information is missing, they may still generate an answer using weaker substitutes.
-
No. Different engines have different retrieval foundations and can favour different source types. That’s why you need to test across the engines your buyers actually use, not just one.
-
They can help in specific “trend-shaped” queries, but a newswire is a layer — not a strategy. In most cases, original editorial coverage and high-quality owned content do far more of the heavy lifting.
-
It depends on your current clarity, your content footprint, and how competitive the prompt space is. Improvements often come in stages: clarity fixes first, then consistency, then consensus compounding over time.
-
Run a small set of prompts your buyers actually ask, collect the citations, and map what sources the engines trust in your category. That gives you an evidence-based starting point instead of generic advice.
-
A shortlist of the products/categories you care about, your key competitors, and access to any existing messaging / positioning docs. If you have real buyer questions from sales calls, even better.
