This Month @ Temono - September 2026
We’ve given the Temono website a bit of a fresh coat of paint recently, so it felt like a good time to start something new too.
Each month, I’m going to use this space to share a quick look back at what we’ve been up to, what’s been keeping us busy and what’s coming next.
Out and About
September was a busy one for events. Richard and I spent a couple of days at Connected Britain, catching up with clients, journalists, partners and plenty of familiar faces from across the UK connectivity market.
Stephen was at IBC in Amsterdam, while Declan and I also popped into DCD Connect in London to see what was happening on the data centre side of things.
One of the advantages of specialising in digital infrastructure is that we spend a lot of time around the people building, selling, investing in and writing about the technology that keeps everything connected. Events like these are always useful for getting a feel for what people are talking about and staying connected to the industry.
A new-look Temono
The most obvious change this month is the website you’re reading this on.
We’ve refreshed the Temono site to hopefully do a better job of showing who we are, what we know and the parts of the digital infrastructure world we work across.
We’ve also published our guide to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), an area we’ve been spending an increasing amount of time on with clients. We’ve now delivered a number of GEO audits, looking at how businesses appear across AI-powered search and answer engines, where the gaps are, and what they can realistically do about them.
The response to those audits has been really encouraging. GEO is still a fast-moving area, and there’s no shortage of noise around it, but we’re pleased the audits seem to be delivering worthwhile counsel and insights.
Growing the network
We also had some very positive conversations during September with partner agencies in the US and Europe.
Temono is based in the UK, but most of the businesses we work with don’t stop at the English Channel. Building relationships with specialist agencies in other markets means we can support clients internationally, and we feel we have found partners that have the same commitment to high standards and good service that we do.
It also gives us a broader view of what’s happening across different parts of the industry and where clients are seeing similar – or very different – communications challenges.
New work and new clients
September brought a few new project wins too, both for existing clients and some new ones. We can’t say too much about them just yet, but they represent exactly the sort of specialist work we want Temono to be doing more of, and will keep us busy through Q4 and into 2027.
What we’ve been writing about
Richard’s recent blog on satellite communications has been particularly well received, which is another sign of just how much interest there is in that… space.
Sorry.
Satellite is becoming an increasingly important part of the wider connectivity conversation, and it’s an area we expect to be talking about a lot more.
Alongside Richard’s satellite piece, Declan published another new blog this month looking at MWC Speaker Submissions, which close in November. We’re starting to work with companies on their MWC plans, but getting the speaker submission in before the deadline is first on the list!
Coming up in October
Next month, the team will be at Capacity Europe in London.
Capacity has always been one of the big fixtures in the connectivity calendar and, given the amount happening across fibre, subsea, data centres and the wider infrastructure market, there should be plenty to talk about.
If you’re going to be there and fancy catching up over a coffee, give us a shout.
Beyond that, we’ve got more client work kicking off, more thinking to publish and a few other things in the pipeline that I’m hoping we’ll be able to talk about in October’s update.
See you then.
